Dear Church Family,
I hope that you are having a wonderful day. I am writing to give you an update on the status of the new building. It has truly been amazing to see God work at every step of this process. It has also been amazing to see the Baptist Builders at work and to witness their joyful spirits. They have been a great blessing to us. Every single one of us should be grateful beyond measure at the work that the Lord has provided through their hands. Great progress is being made on the building! Yesterday, they finished the floor trusses under the lobby area of the new building. By the end of the day today they will have completed pouring the remaining concrete for the basement floor. God has been SO GOOD!
I am also writing to remind you of how you can be involved. This project is a great opportunity for us to partner with what God is doing before our very eyes. There are three ways that we can be involved. 1) PRAY. Nothing of eternal significance happens apart from prayer. Pray for good weather. Pray for safety for all the workers. Pray for the Lord’s provisions. 2) GIVE. There are many ways that you can give. You can give a gift to the building fund. You can donate some resources (sheetrock, wood, etc). You can pick up a pack of Gatorade or extra canned goods and bring it to the church to feed the workers. 3) SERVE. There are many ways that you can serve. You can serve with the Baptist Builders. I personally plan to do this tomorrow morning. Any morning, afternoon, or evening you have available will be a blessing. Or, you can join the hospitality team that is currently serving three meals a day. There is much being done and still much to do, but God is blessing the work and He will see it through! If you are interested in Volunteering, please email Judy Conyers who is coordinating our volunteer efforts or contact the Church Office. Additional details about the Building Project and volunteer forms can be found at www.GSBCfamily.org/Development.
Church family, these are wonderful days! Let’s not miss the opportunity to be a part of this special work of the Lord.
In Christ,
Pastor Matthew
