Nursery

Welcome to our Nursery!

Our hope is that your child will feel comfortable here during your visit with us. In the name of Christ, we strive to do our best in giving you and your child a quality experience while here. May you also experience the love of our Lord Jesus as you seek Him here and fellowship with us. Our prayer is that you rest easy, knowing your most precious possession is being well cared for!

If you have any questions or if you would like to serve in this ministry, please contact our nursery coordinator.  Nursery(at)GSBCfamily.org

Parent Information

When using our nursery, here are some important things we’d like parents to know…

  • Please bring a diaper bag with diapers, wipes, any preferred snacks (if child has allergies) and any comfort items, excluding toys.  Label your bag so we know it’s yours!
  • Please sign in your child on the clipboard and provide all requested information.  We ask that you use our paging system in case we need to retrieve you for any reason,
  • Please place a name tag on the back of your child with the tags provided.
  • Should you decide that you’d like to use our nursery on a regular basis, we will ask for you to register your child with us and serve as a volunteer on the schedule.

General Safety Policies

GSBC Nurseries have adopted the following policies to ensure each child is cared for in a safe environment every time they are with us…

  • All of our volunteers have undergone a background check prior to service.
  • We maintain a two worker policy in each nursery.  No volunteer is ever left alone with your child.
  • We seek to maintain safe child/worker ratios to ensure all children are being well supervised.  (1 worker per 3 Infants and 1 worker per 4 toddlers).
  • Minors working in our nursery must be accompanied by an adult.  Any minor working with infants has taken an approved babysitting course prior to service.

General Sanitation Policies

GSBC Nurseries have adopted the following policies to maintain a clean nursery with each use of our facility…

  • Our toys are cleaned each time after the nursery is used.
  • We ask our volunteers to use gloves, wash hands and use waxed paper with each diaper change.  The changing table is sanitized at the end of each use of the nursery.
  • We have a Wellness Policy posted outside each of our nurseries.  We request that parents keep children at home when they are sick to reduce the spread of infection to other children and families.
