Reverend Matthew A Kirkland is the pastor of Good Shepherd Baptist Church of Christiansburg, Virginia. Since coming to Good Shepherd in 2002, the church has continued to see the movement of the Lord as the church continues to grow. Pastor Matthew, originally from Alabama, moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, where he received his education from Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.  While  at  Liberty,  the Lord blessed Matthew with opportunities to minister alongside Dr. Danny Lovett, current president of Tennessee Temple University, and to serve alongside Charles Billingsley, as they led the Liberty University staff and students in worship. He is married to Heather Laine Kirkland of Tennessee and has three children, Mack, Gracie and Manny.
